Description
Count the unique values in the selected field.
Basic Steps
- Right click a vector dataset in the Worksspace Manager and click Open Attributes to open the attribute table of the dataset.
- Select the field or cells whose unique values you want to count.
- On the Attributes tab, in the Statistics group, click the Unique Count button.
- The field type, alias and the count of unique values are displayed on the status bar at the bottom of the attribute table window.
Note
- The Unique Count button is only active if there are selected cells in a field that is not hidden.
- The values of selected cells that are hidden will not be counted.
