SuperMap iPortal provides the following project management functions:
As an administrator, you can perform the following operations on projects by entering the Management > Resources Management > Projects > Projects Management page:
Click one specified project, detailed info page will appear, click the "Edit Attributes" button at the right bottom page, you can replace the thumbnail and edit the project name, tags and description.
You can rename a projects name. Move the mouse to the target projects name, click the button that appears, the projects name will be in the editing state. After editing, click any blank position to exit the editing operation.
Check one or multiple projects and click the "Delete" button to remove the projects you don't need anymore.
Search the projects you want to find by inputting the project name or the project owner in the input box on the right bottom page.
On the Projects management page, check one or more projects, and click the "Share" button to modify the sharing permissions of projects in batches. The supported sharing scopes include:
If you have selected multiple projects with the same authorized sharing scope, when you click "Share", you can view their current sharing scopes; if the sharing scopes are different, you cannot view them, but you can still authorize the selected projects in bulk. After authorization, these projects have the same sharing scope.
On the Project management page, click the button in the "Set as Featured" column to mark the corresponding project as a Featured project. When displaying featured projects in the Resource Center, it will carry the corresponding featured logos, so that portal members can quickly access the featured resources. Note: Project resources with private permissions can't be set as featured resources.
The project registered and edited by ordinary users of iPortal application need to be reviewed and approved by the administrator before they can be retrieved and used in iPortal.
The project audit function is not enabled by default. iPortal administrator, after logging in, click Manage > Resource Management > Projects > Project Audit to enter the "Project Audit" page, click "Enable" button to enable the project audit function.
Meanwhile, Portal administrators can enable or disable this function by modifying iportal.xml in [SuperMap iPortal installation directory]\webapps\iportal\WEB-INF folder. For details,see: iPortal configuration file description.
Configure project attribute fields, i.e., configure which project attribute fields need to be re-audited by the administrator after being modified. If an ordinary user modifies the approved project, even if he/she modifies any of the attribute fields, by default, the administrator needs to re-examine the project. Of course, the administrator can configure in the iportal.xml configuration file which project attribute fields need to be re-audited after being modified. Project attribute fields include: name (fileName), description (description), thumbnail (thumbnail), tags (tags), connection information(contactInfo), project picture(detailImages), project type(type), For specific configuration, see: iPortal configuration file description.
After logging into the iPortal as an administrator, you can view the projects to be reviewed in Pending Items on Management>Home page, or you can view them by entering Management > Resources Management > Projects > Project Review page. Then you can perform the following operations:
You can also click the name of the project to view the details of the project, and you can directly "pass", "reject" or "delete" the project at the bottom of the page.
The system will send a message to the project creator when the project is approved or rejected, and the project creator can view the message in "My Messages".
